Summer 2008 saw me grow as a person tremendously after spending that summer traveling, covering events all over the country, overseeing recording projects, and more…all while taking summer classes at UMD. But the part of that summer that I will never forget is the music that accompanied me on those journeys and helped me get through those classes….:::::the sounds of Nas’ Illmatic and It Was Written, Blu & Exile’s Below the Heavens & one of the more impressionable one’s ::: Wale’s classic “A Mixtape About Nothing”
