11 to lookout for in 2011
J. Ferb is a name I saw mentioned on many different websites, so I thought I would give him a chance. As soon as I heard a track where he spat over a sample of Tomorrow by Salif Keita, which was feautred in Ali, it was a rap. His mixtapeChase The Dream, Not The Competition showcased his undeniable talent, with the juxtaposition of soulful beats with his raspy voice. Ferb is part of the new wave of talent emerging from Memhpis, along with artists like Skewby, and withPoint of No Return set to drop this spring, he should continue to rep his city properly.
